Match Report
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Sunday saw the girls host Crowborough at home in a highly anticipated league match – thank you to Yannick Vuillemey for refereeing.
The plan was to play a more expansive game in the perfect conditions. The game started off positively for Uckfield, gaining territory and keeping the opposition pinned in their own 22. A sustained period of pressure led to a try, which was converted. A second followed shortly afterwards.
With much of the play happening in the opposition’s 22, Uckfield were gaining control of the game (and maybe relaxed a bit?!), when a lapse in concentration, and strong run from Crowborough led to an end-to-end run and try. With the score standing at 12-7, the girls stepped up their defence. Uckfield put in some solid tackles, and utilised their powerful scrum to, once again, gain control of the match.
Mixing between some great passing plays, and some powerful route one runs, Uckfield ran in 6 more unanswered tries.
A great team effort by all, with everyone getting stuck in, and lots to work on for the future.
