Peter Taylor – Day 5 – Graffham to Amberley

Donate to Peter’s JustGiving

Day 5 sees Peter embark on the next leg, from Graffham to Amberley. After the past few long days, this one is fortunately one of the shorter ones, allowing Peter (hopefully!) some respite. However, the British weather what it is, the day starts cold and miserable making the start (a climb up the hill out of Graffham), a tough slog.

Just 4.5 hours today. The easiest so far! Halfway now. Walking to the Chequers Inn in Steyning tomorrow.

The mental milestone achieved of now being on the “Home stretch”. Achieving the half-way point that only a few days ago seemed so very far away when Peter dragged weary legs through a flooded path.

Day 5 to amberley. One of the shorter days. First challenge to back on the trail above the tree line. It took exactly an hour. Tough climb and it's cold !
