Under 5/6

The Under 5/6s are where every rugby journey begins — and what a start it is! This age group is the very embodiment of chaos, energy, and enthusiasm. Laughter, muddy knees, and endless smiles are all part of the game as our youngest players take their first steps into the world of rugby.

At this stage, the focus is simple: fun, friendship, and sportsmanship. Through running, passing, and plenty of play, the children begin to learn the key principles that will stay with them as they grow — teamwork, respect, and the joy of being part of a team.

While they don’t yet take part in festivals or formal matches, these early sessions set the foundation for everything to come. As they develop and move on to tag rugby at Under 7 and beyond, they’ll carry with them the confidence, coordination, and love for the game that starts right here — in the wonderful, spirited world of Under 5/6 rugby!
