Peter Taylor – Day 7 – Steyning to Lewes

Donate to Peter’s JustGiving

Today Peter travels from Steyning to Lewes, the LONGEST leg of the trip, at 20 miles in one day!

Today’s going to be tough, in Peter’s own words:

I am apprehensive about [today]. 8 hours I reckon. Steyning to Lewes. Don’t expect to hear much from me during the day. I have just got to keep putting one foot in front of the other !

Wish Peter every bit of luck today, cross your fingers, legs and eyes! He will need your support today more than any other!

And after a long period of silence from Peter, at 1806 we finally hear:

Just arrived. Nearly 10 hours. I am completely done !

Peter also shares this:

When I got to Ditchling Beacon yesterday I was done. My feet were killing me. The lovely Lisa Harding met me at the beacon and carried my Rucksack all the way to Lewes. Without her help I would not have made it.

I am off ! A very daunting day ahead. Andy and Angie from the Chequers have sent me on my way with 20 pounds and some protein bars.
