Club Referee
Our club is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as Referees for junior matches, festivals and “Pitch-up and Play’s”. Whether you’re an experienced referee, new to officiating or new to rugby, we provide a supportive environment to help you develop your skills whether you intend to only referee for club junior matches, or carry on further to referee senior matches across the county. There is no age restriction to being a referee, as long as you are keen, we are keen to work with you.
What We Offer:
- A welcoming and supportive club environment
- Coverage of the RFU referee course cost after officiating five matches for the club (or by alternative agreement by chairman only)
- Opportunities to referee junior matches and festivals, gaining valuable experience
- A chance to contribute to the development of young players and the game
- We will watch you referee! Experienced referee’s will watch your matches, including your refereeing style, communication with players and help give you feedback and improve, growing your confidence and ability.
- Referee’s for matches get a free drink and post-match meal. The club offers post-match meals for league fixtures and festivals only at this point in time.

- Willingness to learn and officiate in line with RFU regulations
- Reliability and good communication skills
